Niki and Jim (aka “Jimmy,” as Niki so affectionately calls him!), are gracing the blog today, because yes, I’m full-fledged winter binge-blogging with the weddings I’ve hoarded, and yes, I’m going out of order because I really needed to see some color today!

I don’t even know where to begin talking about Niki and Jim because I never feel like my little paragraphs do my couples justice when it comes to how much I heart them. Niki and Jim are yet another adorable pair of high school sweethearts, so cute and natural together that my face hurt from smiling by the end of the day. (No joke.) We are kindred spirits in that we love dogs, all things rustic and outdoors, and yet also love the city. For months, Niki sent me photos of spots she found around Milwaukee that we could capture that natural element inside the city, and we even lucked out with the colors peaking on their wedding weekend. Milwaukee, you did not disappoint this year!

Their intimate wedding day kicked off at the cutest mid-century church and ended at Joey Buona’s downtown, with all-things-natural in between. Puppy Jordy even made an appearance, and how insanely gorgeous is Niki’s custom made tea-length dress? I totally geeked out over it and how perfect it was for her. Their wedding party did not disappoint either; they were all so welcoming and fun, and really gave me a sense of just how much they love Niki and Jim. Jim’s brother takes the cake for one of my favorite best man speeches too, breaking out official Ghostbusters Proton Packs for full brotherly effect.
